Celebrating women
This is a post to collect websites which give credit to women who contributed much and who—in their day—went unnoticed and barely mentioned. Wonderful to see how these stunning websites now celebrate their work and give these women their overdue credit.

webwithout women
A collection of innovations by women in the fields of computer science and technology.
Apart from offering great details on the featured women and their work, this site’s design is wonderful. The use of colour is randomised and the treatment of the images to integrate with the background is brilliant. Quite a feat to establish a consistency of these profile shots from the different eras and across the vast variety of colour ~ just beautifully done.

Found on oldbookillustrations – an amazing site which collects and publishes images in the public domain.
